A few weeks ago I was a guest on Inside Digital Photo Radio. The show airs weekly in a number of U.S. markets and is then made available to a global audience online and as a podcast via Apple’s iTunes.
I’ve been listening to Inside Digital Photo Radio since the show began about a year ago, and I’ve really enjoyed the mix of guests from many different segments of the photo industry. During the interview, I spoke for about 35 minutes about how I got started in photography, and I then gave an overview of 301 Inkjet Tips and Techniques, and shared a few tips from the book. You can listen to the 35 minute interview online here, or you can subscribe to the show in iTunes.

Over the past 6-8 months I’ve written four articles for pdnonline.com (the same company who publishes Photo District News magazine) on the topics of inkjet paper, books and portfolios. The titles of the articles and direct links to them are below:
–Inkjet Paper Tips, Part I: “Fine Art Fiber” Tips and Techniques
–Inkjet Paper Tips, Part II: “Fine-Art Matte and Watercolor Paper” Tips and Techniques
–Portfolio Tips, Part I: Do-It-Yourself Options
–Portfolio Tips, Part II: Outside Printing Sources

Some of these tips are covered in my new book: “301 Inkjet Tips and Techniques: An Essential Printing Resource for Photographers (Course Technology PTR),” which has recently started shipping. Since I wrote the article, there have been many new Fiber semi-gloss and Fiber gloss papers that have been released. Look for updates soon here on inkjettips.com.
Editor, The Imaging Buffet
After more than 10 years of working with (and occasionally swearing at) inkjet printers, and two years working on the book, I’m happy to announce that 301 Inkjet Tips and Techniques: An Essential Printing Resource for Photographers will begin shipping on October 9. I’ve seen a copy and I’m extremely proud to have my name on it. In addition to the tips that I contribute, more than 20 photographers and other artists have contributed their tips and techniques, and I can’t wait for all of them to see the book.
I’ll be announcing book-related info on this site, as well as on my site dedicated to photography tips and techniques: The Imaging Buffet. I also welcome comments and questions about the book. You can contact me on this page.
All the best!
This is my first official post on InkjetTips.com. It’s been many months in the making and I hope you enjoy the content. This site will primarily serve as the companion site for my book, “301 Inkjet Tips and Techniques: An Essential Printing Resource for Photographers.” I welcome your comments and look forward to sharing information about inkjet printing, as well as tips and advice as new software and hardware is released.
